Judge II-S Color Viewing Booth/Color assesment Cabinet

Brand: X-Rite

Made in China

The Judge II-S stationery color viewing booth lets you spot color differences before your customers do with economic fluorescent daylight technology. The Judge II-S color light box has a unique patented 7-phosphor daylight lamps provide the most accurate, long-lasting fluorescent daylight simulator available.

The Judge II-S color assessments conform with or exceed all major international standards for the visual evaluation of color. These include ASTM D 1729 for visual evaluation of color differences of opaque materials, ISO 3664 for illumination conditions for viewing color reproductions, as well as DIN, ANSI, and BSI standards. These viewing booths also eliminate color communication errors by providing a low gloss, neutral gray (Munsell N7) surround that is shielded from ambient light.

Heres why...

Judge II-S uses patented 7-phosphor daylight simulation. The closest simulation of natural daylight is available in a fluorescent light source.

What does that mean for you?...

That means you'll avoid costly erroneous approvals or rejects because the lighting skewed your color perception, plus you'll get more lamp life from your investment. Judge II-S contains an even balance of color energy just like natural daylight.

The Judge II-S gives you the ability to detect metamerism, or colors that match under one light but not another, with the flexibility of five different light sources. Utilize either simulated daylight (D50),(D65),(D75) cool white fluorescent (CWF) at 4150K, incandescent (a typical light bulb) home lighting, custom fluorescent (TL84 or U30), or ultraviolet (UV).

Not your ordinary fluorescent technology

Commercial daylight lamps contain only 3-phosphors, which means they have higher blue/green energy. That could make your blue/green samples appear bluer and greener, while your red samples could appear dull. The more even the balance of color energy, the more accurately the light source renders color. This color energy is shown in a spectral power distribution curve (SPD). If your light source doesn't match the SPD curve for natural daylight, then your ability to evaluate color is skewed. That means you could be approving color that your customers will reject and vice versa!
